Ron Wirsgalla was born and raised in Covina California. Ron started out at a young age working in a lighting rental shop and quickly moved into the world of television production. Early in his career, Ron started out doing stage management and assisting with studio operations. Ron could never let go of his love of lighting and soon began working hard on developing his skills in lighting direction.
Ron met Oscar Dominguez and started working with him on The Bachelor. It wasn’t long before Ron became part of the Darkfire Lighting Design team. Ron is very passionate about his work, and is proud to have worked his way from an electrician, to best boy, to the gaffer, and now to lighting director. Recent projects include: Shark Tank, The Voice, The Bachelor, 500 Questions, The Wall, Beat Shazam, and Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader.
Ron is proud to have been nominated for 3 Primetime Emmy Awards.
When Ron is not with his crew, he loves playing baseball with his two sons and spending time with his lovely wife Karol.
